SnackTAXI Reusable Bags for Back to School
I am a huge advocate for sending our kids to school with waste-free lunches!
One of my favorite companies is SnackTAXI. They were the original company to make reusable bags for sandwiches and snacks. They have been around since 2003. I also like the fact that they are made in a home-based workshop by local sewers.
I had a chance to check out both their sandwich and snack bags. I packed both bags early in the morning just as I would for a normal school lunch. I took them with us for a day trip as part of our picnic lunch. I packed a ham/cheese sandwich in the sandwich bag and cookies in the snack bag. I placed them in a lunch cooler next to an ice pack. After about five hours of being stored in the SnackTAXI's, my sandwich and cookies were perfectly fine.
I also liked the easy clean up! SnackTAXI's are lined with coated nylon, and can be machine washed and dried, or simply wiped clean with a damp sponge.

I just bought 3 sandwich snackTAXIs and 3 snack size ones yesterday. Since my kiddos did not need new back packs for the school year I decided we could spend a bit on these. Besides it will save us buying plastic baggies and help us have a litter free lunch at school. I can't wait to use them. The kids were excited to pick them out. They have such cute designs.
